(Whale Bay) at the southern tip of the Peninsula de Nicoya on the Pacific
coast of Costa Rica the BBYC is the perfect anchorage for any sized yacht.
At Latitude 10 degrees N. it is within the safe no hurricane zone.
There is both a public dock and a dock connected to the BBYC. Moorings
are available for $5 per foot per month.
To get there by road go to Puntarenas and take the ferry to Tambor which actually takes yo to the dock at Paquera. From there follow the signs to Tambor (about 45 minutes) and after the town go left right before the road heads up a steep hill. After 1/4 mile it will be on your left. The restaurant serves excellent fresh seafood and creative salads made with organic produce. Vegetarian meals and a live juice bar along with fresh baked goods tops it off. There is a full service bar and Satellite TV for sporting events. There is a stage with sound and light equipment where live musical and theatrical performances take place. Entertainment Schedule Fresh organic produce is available and arrangements can be made to fully provision your boat. FAX, phone, internet & email service is available right in the restaurant. Boat tours are available for excursions or fishing. Scuba Diving and Snorkeling trips are available.. Dive Trips Horseback tours to a secluded waterfall are available. Sailing Business Opportunity
